Úlfljótsvatn
Úlfljótsvatn’s campsite is one of the largest in Iceland, able to fit up to 5000 guests. The campsite is divided into 30 zones, with multiple electricity and water outlets, as well as bathroom and shower facilities. Many of the zones are right by the lake, but otherwise it is only a short walk away.
About Úlfljótsvatn
Úlfljótsvatn Scout and Adventure Center, has been the home of the Icelandic scouts for over 80 years. Located in the southwest of Iceland, Úlfljótsvatn campsite sits in a privileged environment full of outdoor opportunities, natural beauty and unlimited wonder. Every year, all year round, we welcome Scout groups, youth organisations, schools, campers, families and companies. Whether it’s going up the tallest climbing tower in Iceland, hitting the bullseye in archery, kayaking or dipping in the lake, hiking, or simply camping with friends and family, Úlfljótsvatn will have it’s doors open for those who want to be part of our home.
The campsite is closed from 15th of November, we will open again some time in spring 2025. We look forward to welcoming you then!

Good to know
Included in the fee is access to hot showers, barbecues, a service house and fishing in the lake (within campsite).
Hiking trails and a frisbeegolf course nearby.
Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Each accommodation unit is reserved approx. 80 sqm of space. Please leave at least 4 meters (13 ft) between accommodation units/cars, for fire safety.
Please use only the specific spot/electricity you have booked. Consult with campsite staff if you need to move.
We kindly ask our guests to leave cars on the parking lot, instead of on the grass, if at all possible.
