The privacy policy of Reisa has the purpose of informing customers about how users' personal data is handled and for what purpose. The privacy policy complies with regulation no. 90/2018 on personal protection and processing of personal information.

What information is collected?

All visits to Reisa.is are recorded in an access log that may contain users' IP addresses, times and which paths were visited.

When paying for services on Reisa.is, the following information is collected

• Customer's name, email address, telephone number and nationality
• Type of stay, number of guests and purchased services
• Customer's license plate

How is information collected?

Reisa receives information when users visit the website and when users complete a booking process where the information needed to provide the relevant service is requested.

For what purpose is the information collected?

Reisa collects only the data necessary to be able to provide the requested service. In addition, the nationality of visitors is collected on behalf of campsites due to their obligation to send statistics on booked nights by nationality to Statistics Iceland. Some campsites also optionally request guests' license plates in order to provide better service.

How long is information retained?

Personal data is not stored longer than is required by law. Vehicle license plate data is deleted no more than 30 days after the stay.

Who has access to the information?

When the customer completes a booking, the campsite gets access to information related to the booking in question. Campsites do not have access to other bookings, nor basic information about visits to Reisa's website.

What rights do users have to information?

Customers may have the right to delete the data that concerns them, and also the right to receive a copy of that data in digital form. Please send requests to reisa@reisa.is.
