(WC, showers, kitchen facilities included for camp customers) Laundromat is located in the service room with 9 washing machines and 9 dryers also open 24/7 (you can pay with card or cash). The campsite is well located in the towns center close to all the main shops and service.
About Camp Egilsstaðir
Service available at the campsite is good with access to electricity, toilets and showers, facilities for cooking and dish washing, Laundromat (washing machines and dryers) and a playground for the children. Kitchen inside, microwawe, kettle, toaster. In the service house there is also access to microwave and a kettle as well as coffee/cocoa and cold drinks automat.
There is a jumping pillow at Tjarnargardur in 2 minutes driving distance.
The facilities are open 24/7 all year round.
From October to April it is not required to reserve a spot and you can camp on any spot. On high season you book on www.campegilsstadir.is
Egilsstaðir is a small town in eastern Iceland and is also called the capital of east Iceland. The population in the area is close to 5.000 people also counting the rural area. There are many stores and services in the town. There are a lot of attraction in the area with natural beauty all around. That makes Egilsstaðir a great destination with the possibility of taking day trips to many places in eastern Iceland. It is a short trip to the forest Hallormsstaðaskógur, to the town Seyðisfjörður and many more. Hot tubs and springs nearby are Vök Baths only 4 km distance and Laugarfell on the highlands, north of Mt. Snæfell. Nearest cave can be found behind Fardagafoss, in 5 minutes drive distance.
